Although there were many terrible fatalities on Sons of Anarchy, one episode retains the record for having the most prominent character deaths. Let’s look at it.
Sons of Anarchy featured several character fatalities, particularly among the titular club, and one episode contains the most major character demises, which helped one season become the one with the most major character demises. Kurt Sutter’s drama-action television series Sons of Anarchy, which premiered in 2008, immersed viewers in the world of motorcycle clubs. The show received a lot of positive reviews from critics and viewers, and it ran for a total of seven seasons. The main cast received the most praise for their portrayals of the show’s themes, which included racism, brotherhood, and corruption.
Jackson “Jax” Teller (Charlie Hunnam), the club’s vice president and the child of John “JT” Teller, one of SAMCRO’s founding members, led the viewer to the fictional town of Charming, California, where the title club operated. The show begins when Jax discovers his father’s manifesto for the club, in which he presented his thoughts and viewpoints that were extremely unlike from those of Clay Morrow, the organization’s current president and Jax’s stepfather (Ron Perlman). Jax starts to doubt his ties to his family, his place in the club, and other issues as well. Sadly, this also results in numerous deaths, including those of some of his fellow SAMCRO members.
Sons of Anarchy had Jax and the club against many foes over the course of seven seasons, some of which led to the deaths of Jax’s friends and family. The second-to-last episode of the series, “Red Rose,” which featured the deaths of Juice Ortiz (Theo Rossi), Wayne Unser (Dayton Callie), and Gemma Teller-Morrow (Katey Sagal), made Sons of Anarchy season 7 the one with the most main character deaths. This, along with the season finale, made Sons of Anarchy season 7 the one with the most main character deaths.

Jax ultimately exacted revenge on Tara’s killer in the episode “Red Rose” after discovering that his mother, Gemma, was the one who killed Tara and lied to Jax. Due to Gemma’s fabrications, there was a serious battle between SAMCRO and other gangs, which resulted in the death of Bobby Munson (Mark Boone Junior). Jax killed Wayne Unser, who was trying to stop Jax from killing his mother, before he killed Gemma. Juice was still being tortured and abused in prison when he told Tully (Marilyn Manson) that Jax had given him the order to murder him. Tully’s sole concession was that Juice be allowed to finish his cherry pie.
Tully then repeatedly stabbed Juice in the neck while his men created a distraction. The Sons of Anarchy season 7 finale saw Jax kill himself in a manner that mimicked the way his father died, and with that death and Bobby’s earlier in the season, Sons of Anarchy season 7 saw the most major characters die.
Even while certain deaths, like Clay and Gemma’s, were “necessary,” most characters in Sons of Anarchy committed awful things during the course of the series and prior, and many of them—especially those of the club members—were tragic. While Sons of Anarchy season 7 was an intensely emotional season with a lot of action and the tragic record of most major people passing away, including the series’ main character, all of these factors helped to make it a suitable and gratifying conclusion to the series.
